Plenty of meditation tools ask for an account before they will let you sit for ten minutes. This one does not, and it never will: there is no registration form, no email confirmation, no premium tier. Opening this page is the entire onboarding process.
It can work this way because everything the timer needs lives in your browser. Your session history and streak are stored locally on your device — not on our servers, because there are no servers involved beyond delivering this page. If you switch browsers or devices, export a backup file from the panel below and import it there; that is the whole sync story, and you are the one holding the file.
Your streak lives in one browser on one device, and clearing site data clears it. If that trade ever stops working for you, export a backup weekly — or decide, as many people do, that a streak is only a number and today's sit is the only one that counts.
